Media which features non-binary people who were assigned female at birth, and media which explores gender outside of a man-woman binary.
This category includes media where individuals specifically label themselves as non-binary, as seen in Oliver Jähnke's 2024 interview with Mina, and also includes media where this label is not used, but featured identities are nonetheless outside the bounds of the gender binary. For example, this category includes Shinjuku Boys (1995) due to Gaish describing themself as being neither a girl nor a boy, but Gaish does not use the label non-binary.
When referring to individuals, always use the terminology that the person uses. This category serves to document gender identities, among people assigned female at birth, which transcend a man-woman binary, but discussion of those identities should be appropriately nuanced. This category exists chiefly for organisational reasons.
