Tien Neo Eamas, a 55-year-old Singaporean-Canadian transman, discusses growing up in a fundamentalist Christian family, recognising himself in another trans man of colour, being the first Asian trans man to come out in Vancouver, enduring racialised expectations of manhood, overcoming hatred and abuse, attempting suicide, and finally finding joy both in himself and in his community.

The series itself is a comedy that has been very well received, and does a wonderful job of humanising both cis men and trans men.

Pol, a trans man played by trans male actor Iván Vigara, is the first person Cristian comes out to. Ariel, a non-binary person played by non-binary person Eli Sajaz Hinestrosa, has a minor role in the film.

Adam Kashmiry, an Egyptian-Scottish trans man, plays himself alongside Iraqi-English actress Yasmin Al-Khudhairi. Adam experiences sexual abuse and discrimination in Egypt, has a short-lived relationship with an Egyptian lesbian woman, is made homeless by his father, and seeks asylum in Scotland. After being mistreated by immigration officials and stuck in legal limbo for almost two years, he is finally granted permanent asylum in Scotland.
